The Best Moment on Screen

Mr. Blankson described his time on the set of “Checkmate” as his favourite moment on the screen in an interview with YFM’s Rev. Erskine in July 2021.

Shirley Frimpong-Manso, the film’s director, he added, contributed to the fantastic times he experienced on location and on set.

“At the time, I was used to doing things my way,” he explained.

“I was used to recommending motions, delivery, and adjusting dialogue when I thought it was appropriate, but when I arrived onto that set, I was tremendously pushed.”

“You could see that the director knew what she was talking about here, and I realised that those were better than I recommended.”
