Davido made me love Pidgin English – King Charles lll reveals

British monarch King Charles III has expressed his admiration for Nigerian singer Davido, revealing that his music made him fall in love with Pidgin English.

King Charles expressed a strong desire to speak Pidgin the next time he visits Nigeria.

The monarch disclosed this in the new Apple Music show, The King’s Music Room, which premiered on Monday.

He unveiled his eclectic musical tastes during the show, naming Davido’s song Kante, featuring Fave, as one of his favourite songs.

“Davido has made me love Pidgin language. I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” Charles III stated.

Davido, via his Instagram story, reposted the video as he gave a shout-out to the royal family.
