Heart of Lions coach, Bashir Hayford, has expressed his full support for fellow Ghanaian coach, Maxwell Konadu, following his recent move to the South African second-tier side, Black Leopards.

Konadu’s appointment was confirmed days after his resignation from Nsoatreman FC.

Speaking to Onua TV’s ‘Agoro Fie’, Hayford suggested that such decisions are often personal and influenced by various factors.

He emphasized the importance of sports administrators and club owners showing respect for coaches and their contractual obligations.

“Some decisions are personal, and sometimes you consider many things. This is the time our sports administrators and club owners must make sure they show a little respect for coaches and their contractual obligations.

“I don’t know what happened, but it is a job opportunity, and he also wants to try his luck outside. He knows what he wants,” Hayford told Onua TV’s ‘Agoro Fie’.

Maxwell Konadu left the Ghana Premier League club, Nsoatreman FC, less than a month after guiding the team to victory in the MTN FA Cup.

He has been entrusted with the task of helping Black Leopards gain promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
