Atta Mills family boycotts his 10th anniversary, says no member was invited

Family Members of the late Former President, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills on Sunday, July 24, 2022, boycotted the State event marking the 10th Anniversary of his death at the Asomdwee Park in Accra.

According to the Ebusuapanyin of the Twidan Royal Family at Cape Coast, Dr. Cadman Mills, the government is not being fair to the family members since they weren’t invited to the Anniversary.

Speaking on behalf of the family during his installation as the Head of the Attah Mills Family in Cape Coast on Sunday, Dr. Cadman Mills, brother of the late President said, he will never allow any family member to attend the 10th Anniversary of the late Atta Mills because the family was disrespected.

He said they are now considering bringing the body of Atta Mills home to Cape Coast from Asomdwee Park.

I can see our brother is not resting in peace since his body has been buried elsewhere away from home,” Dr. Cadman Mills, stated.

The family of the late Mills said they are now limited in getting in touch with the body of the late Mills which is very worrisome to them, adding they’ll do their best to bring the body home to Prof. Mills’ roots.
