Nana Konadu is the Delilah in Rawlings’ life – Anita Desoso

The National Women’s Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso, has said that, former First-Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is just like Delilah in the life of Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings.

The former military leader described Anita Desoso, who knelt before him to apologise and beg for forgiveness on behalf of the NDC for its ‘sins’ during the 39th anniversary of the June 4 Uprising, as a “crook”, who is fond of using cunning means to get her way.

“She’s a crook. She’s lucky I don’t talk about her that much.

“What she did was pre-planned. Yes the woman on the stage, June 4, when she went on her knees”, Mr Rawlings said at a recent event.

Mr Rawlings recalled how Ms Desoso fawned over his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to gain favour to win the Women Organiser slot of the party in the past.

But Desoso has slammed the ex President explanation that the genesis of Nana Konadu’s hate for her started shortly after she (Desoso) won the NDC National Women’s Organizer and refused to support Konadu contest Late President Mills’ during the NDC Presidential Candidate’s Election.

According to Desoso, Konadu bribed her with ‘an-Anas-like’ heavy envelop wrapped with a black polybag, to support her (Konadu) compete against Late President Mills to become the Presidential Candidate for the NDC.But she declined outright because she had observed how intense Late President had toiled for both the country and the party and therefore influenced all the women to vote against Konadu. This further intensified Konadu’s hatred for her.

“Konadu was the First Lady for 19 good years but still wants to become the President of Ghana. What at all does she want to achieve? Is she the only one who has sense? She’s even influencing her children badly. She’s the cause of whatever negative thing Rawlings is doing. Rawlings is now making jokes for people to laugh. I know too well that I’m not a crook so I don’t care about what he said.

“Look at how happy Konadu was in the video when Rawlings said I was a crook. This should tell you that she is the brain behind every negative comment Rawlings pass on the media. I don’t care if he comes out to deny it, I know for sure that Konadu has become a big negative influence on Rawlings.” She said in an interview on Okay FM.

She also added that, just as Delilah in the Bible apologized to Sampson for leading him to the wrong path, Konadu should as well apologize to Rawlings for everything she has made him do else the wrath of God will come upon her.
