Three persons have been reported dead and eleven (11) others in critical condition in an accident at Agyempaboa on the Dunkwa-Ayanfuri road in the Central Region.

The accident which occurred Wednesday dawn around 4:30 am had two of the passengers dying instantly while the other passed at the Dunkwa St. Mark Hospital.

The accident happened after a head-on collision between the Sprinter from Kumasi to Bogoso with registration number GT-6294-13 and a KIA with no registration number from Ayanfuri to Dunkwa.

Speaking in an interview with Starr News’ Yaw Boagyan, an eyewitness said both vehicles were speeding.

He added that the Sprinter appeared to have made a wrong overtaking in a sharp curve and collided with the KIA.

The Municipal Ambulance officer, Charles Dawson, said the victims who sustained various injuries have been transported to the Dunkwa St. Mark Hospital within the Dunkwa Municipality.

Meanwhile, the bodies have been deposited at Dunkwa Municipal Mortuary.

The Dunkwa On-Offin Police has commenced investigation into the accident.
