YouTube removes Davido’s viral wedding track, Ogechi Remix, over copyright claims

Davido is on the news again after YouTube removed his popular wedding song “Ogechi Remix” because of copyright issues.

Remember, he had a fantastic wedding with Chioma on June 25, 2024, where he performed the new song “Ogechi Remix” by BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel.

Davido mentioned his wife’s name, Chioma, in the song lyrics, keeping the same style as the original song, which won over many music fans.

On his wedding day, he released the song “Ogechi Remix,” and a music video followed on July 19th, 2024.

At the same time, Davido has been a hot topic online after news broke that his popular wedding song “Ogechi Remix” has been taken down for copyright issues.

A quick look shows that the song audio is still available on the Boy Pee YouTube page. However, the “Ogechi Remix” music video is on Davido’s YouTube page.

The song details on the YouTube page indicate that Davido is not credited.

Current online information reveals that the original owner of the “Ogechi” song before Boy Pee and two other artists performed it, followed by Davido’s remix.
