The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, has arrived at Asomdwee Park for the ongoing 12th-anniversary wreath-laying ceremony and memorial service in Accra.
The event provides an opportunity for Ghanaians from all walks of life to pay their last respects and remember the legacy and contributions made to the country by Prof. Atta Mills.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the vice-presidential candidate for the NDC, and the Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, are among the high-profile guests who have arrived so far to grace the occasion.

A video posted by UTV online shows the arrival of former President John Mahama, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, and Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, all members of the NDC.
John Mahama arrived at the event in a mini convoy of sleek black Toyota cars with a dispatch rider and his security detail.
He is seen in the video exchanging pleasantries with other top NDC officials as well as guests who are gracing the event.
Upon her arrival, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang is seen engaging in a lively conversation with high-ranking party officials and other guests, notably the son of the late Prof. Evans Atta Mills, Kofi Sam Atta Mills.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, adorned in an all-black political suit, was greeted and welcomed by Ghanaians who were excited to see his presence.
