Why will I neglect the people who voted for me? – NPP MP quizzes

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West Constituency, Cynthia Morrison, reacting to claims of hindering development in the constituency, has inquired from her people why she would neglect them.

The lawmaker was accused by Kwesi Ampofo, a member of the constituency’s council of elders of being the cause of lack of development in the constituency.

However, speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem show, Mrs Morrison refuted the claims and explained that she was doing the best for the constituency.

“Why will I neglect the people who voted for me and a constituency I was developing even before I became their MP? I am very committed to the development of the Agona West Constituency and I have great plans and future for the constituency,” she said.

Commenting on the deplorable nature of schools in the constituency, she said “education is my topmost priority and so I have my own school and looking forward to develop all the schools in the constituency.

“I have compiled a list of all the schools in bad state, especially the kindergarten schools and as at now, I have about 11 of them which work will soon begin on them,” she added.Source: adomonline.com
