Why I rejected hosting United Showbiz after McBrown left – Empress Gifty details

Gospel artiste Empress Gifty has disclosed that she was approached to host United Showbiz, aired on United Television (UTV) after actress Nana Ama McBrown resigned from the role.

According to her, the Managing Director of Despite Media, Fadda Dickson, and General Manager, Kennedy Osei, offered her the opportunity to host the show, but she could not accept it due to her travel schedule.

She explained that, at that time, she spent most of her time in the United States (US), as she was involved in some businesses to raise income for herself.

Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Manu, Empress Gifty indicated that she is now fully employed at Despite Media and earns the right income.

“When McBrown left, I was approached to host the show (United Showbiz), but because of my consistent travels, I declined the offer, and management understood me.

“I barely stayed in the country at that time. I believe that when the time is right for something, God will make it work. Currently, I am a full staff member who is being paid a monthly salary,” she said in Twi.

Meanwhile, Empress Gifty is the host of the U-Cook show, aired on UTV on Sundays.

She is also filling in for MzGee as the host of United Showbiz, an act that has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
