The ‘Rap Doctor’ is a huge fan of his young compatriot, Kuame Eugene, and has often spoken highly of him on every platform he gets the chance to be interviewed.
Okyeame Kwame is using the same template again in a fresh interview with a Ghanaian radio presenter who doubles as a blogger, NYDJ. According to the evergreen rapper, Kuami Eugene is half his age but he envies the energy he posses as a young artist which is why he envies him.
Okyeame Kwame tapped into Eugene’s Midas touch in a collaborative song dubbed ‘Yee Ko’ which is doing relatively well. On the same platform, Okyeame spoke briefly about the Kumerican Movement and why he has not been part of the project yet.
“I am going to properly join the Kumerican movement. We are working on it. There is something coming up. I am going to join it at the business level, at the cultural, and at the unifying front level.
There are things that if you try to influence, you will make distasteful. This thing has been done by young people. They should be allowed to own it. They should be allowed to take the credit for it. They should be allowed to do whatever it is that they want with it. The whole movement belongs to young people.
They must be praised. We need to go behind them and not in front of them. We need to go behind them with guidance.
