Davido congratulates Tems for Grammy Award

Award-winning singer, Davido congratulated Tems on her recent win at the 67th Grammys on Sunday.

Tems scooped the Best African Music Performance award at the event held on Sunday, February 2.

Davido who was also nominated for the category wrote in a post on X, “Congratulations to my one and only! @chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby we are proud of you.”

Tems’ hit song, ‘Love Me Jeje’ emerged victorious over “Tomorrow” (Yemi Alade); “MMS” (Asake & Wizkid); “Sensational” (Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay); and “Higher” (Burna Boy).

“Love Me Jeje”, a sample of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 song of the same title, has received critical acclaim from global music buffs following its release last April.

Reacting, Davido in a statement on his X page said he was proud of Tems.

He wrote, “Congratulations to my one and only! @chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby we are proud of you.”
