Watch the beautiful welcome ceremony for Black Princesses in Colombia

Players and officials of the Black Princesses enjoyed a brief moment of merry-making and Colombian hospitality following their arrival in the country for the 2024 FIFA Women’s Under-20 World Cup.

The Black Princesses touched down in Colombia in the early hours of Thursday, August 15, and were warmly received by the tournament organizers.

Videos published by the official handle of Ghana’s national women’s team capture some of the players and officials dancing and sharing some good moments with the delegation that welcomed them at the airport.

The Black Princesses, who have been placed in Group E, will kick off the tournament with a game against Austria in September before playing Japan and New Zealand.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will kick off in Colombia on Saturday, August 31.

Coach Yusif Basigi is confident that his charges will excel at the tournament and make Ghanaians proud.

Coach Basigi believes that he has assembled the best of Ghanaian talents and that his players will produce incredible performances at the tournament.
