Watch heartwarming videos of Corpers celebrating their parents after service

A trend has emerged among Nigerian corpers to honor their sponsors, and it has grabbed significant attention from fellow Nigerians across the nation.

In Nigeria, it is mandatory for every first degree holder to serve the country for one year.

This exercise is conducted by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and is backed by the Federal Government and the Ministry of Education. The initiative aims to foster national unity and development by deploying young graduates to various parts of the country.

Typically, students are posted to serve in states different from their current state of residence. The aim is to encourage cross-cultural interactions and experiences. However, in some cases, a few lucky corpers manage to secure postings in their preferred locations.

Recently, a noticeable trend among corpers has emerged where they pay homage to their sponsors. These sponsors, who often provide financial support, guidance, or mentorship during their academic pursuits, are being acknowledged and appreciated in various ways.

MyNigeria has gathered several instances where corpers have gone to great lengths to show their gratitude to their sponsors. These acts of appreciation range from heartfelt gestures and public acknowledgments to more elaborate displays of gratitude.
