WATCH: Give us good stadiums to play – Partey tells Bawumia

Black Stars captain Thomas Partey has made a bold request to Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that the football sector is in dire need of a standard stadium.

Speaking during Bawumia’s visit to the Black Stars ahead of the Central African Republic game, the Arsenal midfielder conveyed that the need for a standardized stadium is the wish of every Ghanaian footballer.

He emphasized that the players’ desire to play good football can only be achieved with a standard stadium.

“We are ready. We want to give our best tonight. On behalf of all the players, I have one request: we ask for a good stadium because we want to play better football,” he said.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia visited the Black Stars ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic on Monday, June 10, 2024.

The Black Stars of Ghana, buoyed by a 2-1 victory over Mali on June 6, 2024, are set to face C.A.R at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 19:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
