Watch as some residents resist attempts to transport bags containing broken EC election materials

A concerning incident has been reported, where bags belonging to the Electoral Commission, filled with ballot papers for the December elections, and which were being transported to one of the constituencies in the Eastern Region, were found with their seals broken.

A video posted on X on Friday, November 29, 2024, showed some of the electoral material bags with their seals broken and visibly tampered with.

Police personnel were also seen attempting to resolve the situation as some individuals at the scene resisted efforts to transport the tampered electoral material bags to the designated constituency.

According to an eyewitness at the scene, they will resist any attempts to transport the bags to the constituency for the elections, arguing that the contents may have been compromised.

The incident has sparked widespread concerns among Ghanaians, who are urging the Electoral Commission and the police to investigate the matter immediately.
