Watch as angry police man cocks his gun at a driver in heated argument at Obuasi

A heated misunderstanding erupted between the driver of a Ford pickup truck and a Ghana Police Service officer at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region on Friday.

The confrontation escalated when the officer cocked his service rifle.

According to a post shared on the social media platform X by an account named Sikaofficial, the incident intensified after the occupants of the vehicle reportedly offered the officer GH¢50, which the officer deemed insufficient following a demand for a monetary settlement.

In a video of the incident, the police officer can be heard repeatedly instructing the driver to step out of the vehicle, but the driver refused.

The driver then challenged the police officer, saying that if he believed the car was stolen, he should go ahead and shoot at it.

“Go ahead and shoot at me or the car if you think I’ve stolen it. Do you think you’re dealing with a small boy?” the driver asked. “Don’t you work according to the law?” he added.

Filled with anger, the police officer responded, “If you joke with me, you will die here.”
