Video of Wizkid paying tribute to Don Jazzy, Mo Hit members surfaces after social media rant

A video has resurfaced of Wizkid appreciating Don Jazzy, D’banj, and Mo’ Hits members following a recent rant on social media.

On Monday, April 29, 2024, Wizkid went on a rampage on his X page, tackling fans and critics. In a series of posts, Wizkid tackled music executive Don Jazzy, describing him as an influencer.

He also shared a video of Davido begging and crying in a bid to clap back at a fan who asked when his next song would be released.

The ‘Essence’ crooner also responded to a social media user who mentioned that his colleague Ladipoe had made some remarks about him.

In response, Wizkid said he wasn’t chatting with anyone who was signed to an influencer as he reposted a tweet tagging Don Jazzy as an influencer.

His comments did not sit down well with many who slammed him for involving Don Jazzy in his rants on the internet, calling it disrespectful.

As social media users digest the raging issue in Nigerian entertainment, an old video has emerged of Wizkid expressing his gratitude to the music executive and other members of Mo’ Hits for giving him a house to stay.

According to him, they weren’t aware he lived with them in the house while he was attempting to build a music career.

He said;

“A lot of people don’t even know, I grew up around D’banj, the Afrobeats era. I was around them. I was in the house; they didn’t even know I was in the house. I was living with them but they didn’t know I was living with them. That was how crazy it was, so big shoutouts to D’banj, Mo’ Hits, Wande Coal, Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Prince, God bless you guys. That was a very strong team that did a lot for African music.”
