Video of Jordan Ayew in ‘serious’ conversation with Kwasi Appiah goes viral after Sudan game

Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew was captured on video having a conversation with the head coach of the Sudanese national team, James Kwasi Appiah, in the aftermath of Ghana’s goalless draw against Sudan.

The short video, which is widely circulating on social media, captures Jordan Ayew with an unhappy facial expression, gesturing seriously during the conversation with Kwasi Appiah.

Reports indicate that the conversation ensued after Ghana labored to pick up a point against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 10, 2024.

Antoine Semenyo had a couple of chances but failed to utilize them despite the creativity the team had in the game.

Captain Mohammed Kudus played a pivotal role in creating chances but was unable to score with the opportunities he had despite Ghana dominating the game.

Sudan, headed by coach Kwasi Appiah, played defensively for most of the game as their tactics worked to perfection, securing a draw.

Ghana now has two points, lying in third position in Group F of the qualifiers as the team’s chances become slimmer.

Angola is leading the table with six points, followed by Sudan in second position with four points.

The Black Stars will face Sudan away from home in Libya in the return leg on October 15, 2025.
