Unidentified man found lynched at Abrewa Nkwanta

An unidentified man, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, was discovered deceased in a gutter at Abrewa Nkwanta, opposite the SDA Education Unit, in New Juaben North on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at approximately 9:20 PM.

Initial assessments indicate that the cause of death has not yet been determined, though the body showed signs of severe trauma, including visible bruising and cuts, consistent with a possible lynching.

Authorities suspect the victim may have been killed elsewhere before his body was abandoned at the scene.

Officers from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and the Effiduase Police Command responded promptly to the scene.

Early investigations suggest that the body may have been discarded after death, as the decomposition state indicated the man had likely been dead for some time, possibly since the previous day or the early hours of January 22.

The body was subsequently transported to the Roman Hospital Mortuary at 10:25 PM for further examination.

The Effiduase Police Command has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including efforts to identify the victim and determine the perpetrators involved in the crime.
