According to a post on the SRC’s official page on X, the student, identified as Bethel, was majoring in computer science. She was fatally hit by a vehicle while on her way to take an exam on Saturday, March 15.

In their post, the SRC mourned Bethel and extended sympathies to her grieving family during this difficult time.
“We are deeply saddened to report that a fourth-year Computer Science student, Bethel, was fatally struck by a vehicle while on her way to take an exam on campus yesterday. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and the entire Computer Science Department,” the post stated.
