We were spoiled with really great music this year! Be it the “usual suspects” or the new acts, we had a taste of everything. And with Afrobeats particularly staking a deserving claim on the global music scene over the last couple of years, African musicians are definitely leaving no stone unturned when it comes to making quality music.

Selecting the top 20 African songs of the year wasn’t an easy task. Although there were several releases across different genres this year, most of them were equally pleasing to the ears.
