In a statement on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, his spokesperson Tunde Rahman said Tinubu “will use the opportunity of the trip to fine-tune the transition plans and programmes, and his policy options with some of his key aides without unnecessary pressures and distractions.”
This is the second time Tinubu is travelling out of Nigeria since his win in the presidential elections after he visited France for four weeks in April, 2023.
The president-elect is also enthused about wooing investors and selling the readiness of the Nigerian market under his administration to policymakers in Europe.
He is scheduled to return shortly for preparations towards his official swearing-in as the 16th President of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.
