Thomas Partey set for Barcelona move – Reports

Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has popped up on Barcelona’s radar as the Spanish side aim at signing a defensive midfielder in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Partey was on Barcelona’s list during the 2024 January transfer window, but the Catalan side failed to express concrete interest in the Ghanaian.

According to Catalan journalist Adrian Sanchez, Partey has been shortlisted again by Barcelona for a possible transfer in the summer.

The report indicates that the five-time UEFA Champions League winners fancy signing Partey on loan, as the club hierarchy is fond of the player among their shortlisted options.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is reportedly open to letting go of the former Atletico Madrid man for a fee between £20 to £25 million.

The Gunners are said to have penned Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz as a replacement for Partey, should the Ghanaian leave this summer.

Thomas Partey joined Arsenal in 2020, signing a five-year deal with the North London club. He, therefore, has one year remaining on his contract.
