‘That’s the Basintale Boy’: ‘Proud’ Mahama pauses speech to celebrate NDC executive

It was a sight to behold at the University of Education, Winneba, when the Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, appeared on the screens of supporters outside the hall while the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, was delivering his speech ahead of their 2024 manifesto launch.

The resounding cheers from the supporters, which overshadowed Mahama’s voice, had him pause briefly to give a special shout-out to Malik Basintale, who was the ‘star boy’ at the moment.

Mahama, who appeared proud of the works of the Deputy Communications Officer of the party, said, “That’s the Basintale boy,” accompanied by smiles.

Basintale was also caught beaming with smiles as both Mahama and the enthusiastic audience kept cheering him on to show their overwhelming reception.

Prior to the launch of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, Basintale was spotted on a motorbike, where he was swamped by party supporters.

The enthusiastic supporters were heard chanting “The youth president” while they cheered him on.
