Leonardo DiCaprio

American actor and producer, Leonardo DiCaprio, met Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2016 to discuss environmental and climate issues.

Taking to Instagram, the actor, who had 15 minutes of interaction with the late Pope Francis, shared his profound happiness.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom

American singer, Katy Perry, and actor Orlando Bloom, who also had an encounter with the late Pope Francis, took to their respective Instagram pages to share their experience.

Katy Perry, in her post, noted that it was an honor to have met the pope.

David Henrie

After suffering three miscarriages, actor David Henrie and his wife Maria met Pope Francis in 2018.

In a post shared on Instagram, David Henrie disclosed that he feared his wife would have another miscarriage following their previous losses.

He explained in his post that the late pope prayed for them while his wife was pregnant with their daughter, Pia.

He further explained why he named his daughter after the late Pope Francis.

“Maria and I suffered three miscarriages before finally being able to carry Pia to full term… The reason Pia’s middle name is Francesca is because I asked Pope Francis to pray for Maria and me to have a baby. He took our hands, held them together, said a special blessing, then looked up and told me not to worry — that a baby would be coming,” he shared on Instagram.

Angelina Jolie

American actress, Angelina Jolie, is among the entertainment personalities who met Pope Francis before his demise.

The actress briefly met the pope in 2015 after the Vatican screening of her film titled Unbroken.

Mark Wahlberg

In 2017, actor Mark Wahlberg met the late Pope Francis while hosting the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.

During his speech, the actor noted how blessed he was to be in the same room with the late pope.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

In 2017, actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, met with Pope Francis during his Wednesday general audience.

In a video shared on social media, Arnold Schwarzenegger was heard expressing how pleased he was to meet the late pope.

“It’s a great honor to meet you. I wanted to come here and say thank you very much for protecting us, and we must communicate the importance of not only climate change but also how many people die every year because of pollution,” he said.

Andrea Bocelli

Opera singer, Andrea Bocelli, met Pope Francis numerous times.

He met the late pope in 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2022.

Andrea Bocelli, during his encounter, noted, “You have something inside with the power to move others. I don’t know if you know it.”
