Tension mount Kwabre East as polling station executives petition Nana Addo to remove Hon.Nana Osei asibey

The polling station executives of Kwabre East Constituency of the New Patriotic Party hereby petition the
president through the Chief of Staff for the removal of Hon. Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu, the MCE for
Kwabre East Municipal Assembly from Office. The constituency has worked hard to ensure a great
victory for the party and if this petition is not dealt with to the latter, the presence of Nana Osei Asibey
Bonsu as MCE will mar the fortunes of the party in 2020.

Speaking with Some executives with Abdul Basit Alpha Radio, our MCE has total disregard for party members in terms of assistance. People who go to him
for assistance are not cared for in any way. He has indicated a blind eye to party members in areas like
recruitment into teaching, customs, fire service, immigration etc. This has made the youth who are seen as
our hope for next elections begin to build up feeling that serve as a seeming disaster for the party. As
delegates, we are not privy to all decisions taken by our MCE in relation to governance. Even at meetings
where delegates wish to discuss private matters with him in his office, Hon. Osei Asibey Bonsu allows his
son to interfere in all discussions.

According to one Jordan Owusu Agyei confirmed to me Out of the 855 polling station executives in the constituency, 450 delegates have signed to show their
dislike for the leadership style of our MCE. The team intentionally decided not to take the signatures of
executives, council of elders, patrons, and coordinators since they are in leadership positions. If we have
been able to get such enormous signatures it tells how dangerous it will be for Hon. Nana Osei Asibey
Bonsu to continue as MCE. For lack of time, we would have been able to get more people to sign. We
would like to take this opportunity to throw a big challenge to all stakeholders to come to Kwabre East
for the delegates to vote on whether they like the MCE or not . If 30 percent vote to support the MCE, this
petition should be thrown away. In fact Hon. Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu is gradually making the party
unpopular and we will not sit down for a party that we dearly love crash on grounds of total disaffection
for one person.
