A number of Ghanaian football stars, including Black Stars captain, Andre ‘Dede’ Ayew, and his brother, Jordan Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Afena Gyan, among others, have arrived in Tamale ahead of the 2024 All-Star Festival match.

The match is expected to take place today, Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Aliu Mahama Stadium at 6:00 PM.

The players landed in Tamale in the early hours of Saturday for the mega match, which is expected to assemble the country’s elite sports stars.

The likes of Issahaku Abdul Fatawu, Emmanuel Boateng, among others, are set to play a historic match in Tamale in the Northern Region for the first time.

The 2024 All-Star Festival is the third edition being organized by The BAC Group, headed by Dr. Ernest Koranteng.

This is the first time the Northern regional capital is hosting the festival, where the Black Stars players will play against a local select side drawn from Premier League, Division One, and Division Two clubs.

This year’s festival will also see the refurbishment and unveiling of the Abedi Ayew Pele Roundabout at Tamale, a sports business series at the University for Development Studies, and a Legends Night where retired footballers fraternize with the professionals.
