Sowore clashes with police officers conducting stop and search along Airport Road

A video showing human rights activist Omoyele Sowore confronting some police officers conducting stop and search along Lagos Airport Road is circulating.

In the video, some police officers could be seen asking private cars to park on one side of the road to be searched.

Displeased by this act, Sowore questioned their motive for causing traffic in an attempt to conduct such an exercise.

The police officers blocked the road and insisted that Sowore park the car. The activist, who was being chauffeured, also refused and demanded to speak to the commissioner present.

Within a few seconds, a senior police officer instructed the police to let him go.
