‘Sankofa is not a taboo’ – Kofi Gabs mocks Kamala Harris as Trump becomes US president-elect

A Ghanaian by birth who recently renounced his citizenship to become a Dutch citizen, Kofi Gabs has mocked the flagbearer of the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris, after reports from four major media outlets indicated that she is lagging in the US elections.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Gabs jokingly stated that Americans voted for Donald Trump because they wanted him to continue the work he couldn’t finish.

“Sankofa isn’t a bad thing. That’s why if a car goes in reverse, it’s not a sin. That’s why Americans didn’t vote for Kamala,” he said.

He added that Ghanaians should similarly consider their decision to vote for the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming December 7 elections.

“That’s why Ghanaians should vote for John Dramani Mahama. We won’t vote for Bawumia with his digitization policy. When John Mahama comes into power, he will bring back his good policies,” he added.

Background:

Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been projected as the president-elect in the November 5, 2024, presidential election.

Projections by most major media outlets, including CNN, Fox News, and the BBC, have put Trump in a commanding lead as a vast majority of the election results trickle in.

The projections of Trump’s victory come after he won the election in three major battleground states, including Pennsylvania and Georgia.
