Samuel Inkoom’s Fraud Case: Popular bar dissociates itself from allegations

A popular bar and lounge, Joge’s Lounge situated at Labadi in Accra has decried its association with fraud in a scandal involving former Black Stars defender Samuel Inkoom.

It could be recalled that the media highlighted a court case concerning Samuel Inkoom who was alleged to have defrauded an individual of 8,000 dollars for a visa.

The lounge was fingered as the regular meeting hub of the former FC Basel right-back where he is said to have taken money from the complaint in the name of securing an American visa.

He was arrested after complaints were made to the police.

An Accra circuit court, after hearing the case, directed Samuel to refund the money and any other entitlement to the complainant.

The CEO of Joge’s Lounge, Mr. Smaila, also known as Ish, has claimed that the outfit should be dissociated from the case.

According to him, the establishment happens to be one of the exclusive places that both locals and internationals appreciate and always want to be.

With its exclusive cuisine and hospitality, the lounge happens to have lured not just Inkoom but many well-recognised names in the arts industry.

According to him, his place does not in any way support fraudulent activities but is simply a peaceful and lively place to hang out.

“It’s a meeting hub, restaurant and as well as place of relaxation so all are welcome,” he said.
