Samuel Chukwueze: AC Milan star ruled out for remainder of the season

Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze’s season has come to a premature end due to injury.

The 24-year-old sustained an injury during AC Milan’s last Serie A clash against Cagliari on Saturday, May 11.

Chukwueze was forced off the pitch at halftime, with Portuguese star Rafael Leao coming on to replace him.

Milan Post reported that Chukwueze is struggling with a muscle issue in his left thigh, as revealed by X.

Subsequent tests confirmed that the injury is a grade one lesion to the femoral bicep in the left thigh, according to Sporting Sun.

This diagnosis means the winger will be sidelined for several weeks, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

Chukwueze will miss AC Milan’s final two games against Torino and Salernitana.

The Nigerian international only managed three goals in his debut season for AC Milan.
