Reno Omokri apologises to Peter Obi after massive applause, standing ovation greeted him in Anambra

His apology comes following his comment that it was impossible for the former Anambra governor to amasse 97 per cent of the votes in the state.

However, a trending video has led to the former aide changing his mind and apologise for his previous comment.

In the video, as Governor Charles Soludo was about to begin his speech presentation at his “One Year In Office” anniversary Peter Obi arrived.

As the former governor walked into the hall, there was a loud cheer and applause from the audience.

The entire auditorium gave Peter Obi a standing ovation as he hurriedly walked to his seat.

Reacting to this video, Reno Omokri described the applause it as a show of “organic love.”

He said; “Peter Obi just walked into the room and the applause was like thunder. Obviously he is more popular than the incumbent governor with what we are seeing. So, maybe I might want to walk back what I said. I can see it is now possible that he could have gotten 97 per cent of the votes without rigging. That is organic love.”
