Private Jet, Security-Featured Landcruiser, $6m Mining Excavator: Meet Ibrahim Mahama’s toys

Riches and Ibrahim Mahama are synonymous, especially in Ghana.

And with the passing of time, philanthropy and empathy have also been linked to him.

But there is a great love for ‘toys’ that Ibrahim Mahama’s name is very likely linked to, but which not so many people directly speak about.

Most recently, the conversations have surrounded his private jet, and how his senior brother and President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has been using it for all his official engagements although the country has a presidential jet.

That has also come on the back of discussions surrounding a customised Land Cruiser that he, supposedly, got for his brother the president, and which is his today, his official presidential car.

In the past too, there have been several reports on how much love the businessman has for luxury vehicles, including a Lamborghini Aventador SV, the Porsche 911 Turbo S.

And there is the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Xtreme Edition, a high-end car customised with bulletproof features, a 3.3L V6 Turbo Diesel Engine, and advanced terrain control systems. The car has a staggering price tag of $600,000, equivalent to over GH¢8million.

In July 2023, GhanaWeb reported on how Ibrahim Mahama, the owner of Engineers and Planners, had named a $6million large excavator after his late mother, Daavi Joyce Tamakloe.

The $6m Liebher 9400 is a heavy-duty machine used in mining.

Other online reports also show that in addition to his luxury cars and jet collection, Ibrahim Mahama has a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle, which costs over GH¢400,000, and that Ibrahim actively participates in car shows in Accra.

And there are more.

But those are just the stories about his luxury vehicles. Let us not forget that on January 7, 2025, during the inauguration of his brother, President John Dramani Mahama, he drove a bus with his family members to the Independence Square for the historic event.

Below are some photos and videos of car and jets owned by the business mogul:
