Prepare for worse times – Korsi Bodja to NDC

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Volta Regional Organiser, Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, has called on the National Democratic Congress in the region to prepare for eventualities worse than what was experienced in the 2016 electioneering.

Mr. Bodja indicated that the NPP’s current leadership in Volta under the stewardship of Chairman Makafui Woanya is poised and would leave no stone unturned in working to increase vote pattern for the NPP in 2020 “to revoke the license of the NDC’s Volta Bank”.

He expressed optimism the NDC would loss more supporters after the governing NPP achieve its objectives for the first term in office.

“At the end of our so far so good first tenure of office the story would be enormous and the NDC defectees would be unprecedented”, he said when giving a solidarity message at the NDC Volta Region Delegates Congress in Ho over the weekend.

He asserted that the NPP government has proven to be the only political party with the technicality of charting a good course for the country, considering programmes and policies being implemented to better the lots of Ghanaians.

“We are also proving convincingly, that indeed, the NPP’s way is always the way for Ghana” adding that “while you [NDC] are trying hard to close your ranks in waiting for the next general election, His Excellency President Akufo-Addo and for that matter the NPP government, is everyday, making better, the economic fortunes of the not long ago mesmerised economy and bringing prosperity to every single Ghanaian.”

Mr. Bodja further indicated that the woes of the opposition NDC would increase when the Akufo-Addo led government fully implements its development agenda for the country adding “by the time the NDC is aware the center would be so heavy to hold”.

Meanwhile the incumbent Volta Region NDC Chairman, John Kwadwo Gyapong, has been retained as he polled 491 with his contender, Former Transport Minister, Dzifa Attivor receiving 374.
