Popular Colts football figure Saani Dendem is dead

Popular Colts football figure and bankroller of Kumasi-based Division Two side, Anokye Stars, Saani Mohammed, popularly known as Sani Dendem, has passed away, according to reports.

A report filed by Kessben TV suggests that the stalwart of Colts football died on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the age of 75.

The report indicated that the renowned talent manager passed away after battling illness.

Saani’s desire and passion for unearthing and nurturing young talents led him to pursue a career in Colts football at the age of 20.

He groomed talents for various clubs in Ghana and ultimately for all levels of the national teams.

Some notable names who were under his guardianship include former Black Stars striker Tony Yeboah, former Kotoko coach and player Michael Osei, former Kotoko and Black Stars player Stanley Aborah, former Kotoko player Prince Opoku Polly, and former Hearts of Oak midfielder Torric Jebrin.
