Policeman guns down civilian at beer bar after heated argument

A policeman identified as Corporal Samuel Boamah has shot and killed a civilian at a popular drinking spot around Kasoa in the Central Region after a heated argument .

According to a police situational report sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the embattled policeman and his colleague Corporal Isifu Tahiru of same unit went to the drinking spot   in mufti to drink, with the latter holding police side arm with number 11501711 loaded with 13 live ammunition.

It revealed   that in the course of drinking, they had confrontation with some customers there but Corporal Isifu Tahiru pulled out his sidearm in order to frighten the crowd and in the process Corporal Boamah snatched the sidearm from his counterpart, fired   and killed one Musah Mohanmed aged 21 years.

Both policemen have been arrested and detained in police custody with the sidearm retrieved with nine rounds of ammunitions .

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the police hospital pending autopsy.
