Partey to decide future with Atletico Madrid at the end of season – Agent

Daniel Jimenez, The representative for Ghanaian International Thomas Teye Partey has disclosed that the player will decided his future at Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.

His comments comes on the back of growing reports that the player could be on a move to Italian side Inter Milan at the end of the Spanish La Liga season.

Following another outstanding performance for his club and country in the calendar year, the player has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs and is rumored to be considering making the switch from the Spanish Capital.

Reports has it that the Atletico are weighing up the option of exchanging the Ghanaian with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi after star man Antoine Griezmann announced his departure from the team a couple of days ago.

Speaking to Passion Inter however, Partey’s agent, Daniel Jimenez shared that they have not been in contact with any club yet but would have to sit down at the end of the season and decide the player’s next move.

“I can say that right now, I haven’t talked to anyone, even if Inter are a top club. There’s a €50m release clause in his contract, a figure that’s cheap for a player like Thomas”.

“We’ll wait for the season to end and then we’ll see”, he said.

Recently awarded the Sports Personality of the Year by the Sports Writer Association of Ghana (SWAG), Thomas Partey is expected to be named among the 23 players that will represent the Black Stars at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
