Scores of supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have stormed the Parliament of Ghana ahead of Tuesday’s sitting.
The supporters, mostly wearing NPP-branded shirts featuring images of NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, were seen entering the precincts of Parliament.
According to reports, the NPP supporters were bused from the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Constituency to show solidarity with their party’s parliamentarians.
Meanwhile, Members of Parliament from both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are occupying the Majority side of the House.
GhanaWeb’s team at Parliament captured both NDC and NPP MPs seated on the Speaker’s right-hand side, which is traditionally reserved for the Majority Caucus.
