Inaki and Nico Williams to premiere documentary at San Sebastián Film Festival

Brothers Iñaki and Nico Williams will soon see their life story hit the big screen. Their documentary, Los Williams, is set to premiere on Friday, September 20, at the prestigious San Sebastián Film Festival.

The film delves deep into their family’s extraordinary journey, not just focusing on their football success, but also on their African roots.

The documentary takes viewers back to Ghana, where the Williams brothers’ late grandfather, George Williams, held a powerful connection to their heritage. The film also shares the harrowing tale of their parents, who risked everything crossing the Sahara and the fence of Melilla to build a better life for their children.

Despite their professional achievements—Inaki playing for Ghana and Nico representing Spain—both have remained firmly connected to their roots. In multiple interviews, the brothers have expressed how vital the support of their family has been in shaping their journey.

Today, Iñaki and Nico Williams are key players for Athletic Bilbao, and their story is an inspiration far beyond the football field.

Iñaki recently shared the documentary’s poster on his official X page, generating excitement for its upcoming release.
