Missing woman reportedly found dead in plantain grove at Mempeasem

The quiet community of Mempeasem in the Eastern Region has been thrown into mourning after the lifeless body of a middle-aged woman was discovered in a nearby plantain grove.

According to residents, the woman had been missing for three days, prompting a frantic search by community members.

Hopes of finding her alive were dashed when a group of locals stumbled upon her body lying face down among overgrown plantain leaves.

Though no visible signs of struggle were found on the body, the exact cause of death remains unknown at this time.

The remains have since been conveyed to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
