Man daringly swims with a large Anaconda in Brazil

Anacondas are known as the largest snakes in the world, but we are familiar with them due to the 1997 movie, ‘Anaconda’.

In case you forgot about it, here’s a reminder, it’s the ‘Scream’ voiceover that gets us. Courtesy of YouTube:

If you are anything like us, then you may have questioned the reality behind Anacondas after watching this movie.

But the truth is Anacondas are known for their large demeanour, not that they are as large as they were in the movie, but it sure does come close.

“Green anacondas are one of the largest snakes in the world. Females are considerably larger than males. They can reach lengths of 30 feet (9 meters), diameters of 12 inches (30.5 centimeters), and can weigh 550 pounds (250 kilograms).” (National Zoo)

A giant Anaconda was seen swimming inside the Pantanal Wetlands in Brazil.

The video has left many people astonished at the man’s brave approach to videoing the Anaconda so casually. From our experience, we don’t think it is advisable to share the same space with an Anaconda.
