Man arrested for allegedly murdering brother

Mr Christopher Kucham, a resident of Dambai-Lakeside in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his younger brother Tanimnui Kucham to death.

He was arrested by a group of people said to be his family members and handed over to the Krachi East Municipal police.

Superintendent of Police, Samuel Aboagye, Krachi East Municipal Police Commander, who confirmed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the body of the deceased had been taken to Worawora Hospital for preservation and autopsy.

He said on November 12, 2019, at about 2130 hours, he had a phone call from the community about the incident and he quickly dispatched the Regional patrol team to the scene.

Mr Aboagye said the suspect, however, left the scene before the patrol team got there but on November 13, 2019, at 0627 hours he was arrested.

He said the suspect would soon be arraigned as they continued with investigations.
