Man, 30, drown whiles swimming at Gomoa

The corpse of a 30-year-old man known as Joe has been found in River Akora at Gomoa Ekwamkrom in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region after his girlfriend escorted him to swim.

Information gathered by Kasapa News reporter, Yaw Boagyan revealed that the deceased and his girlfriend went to the river to swim on Friday but the deceased failed to come out after they started swimming.

Sources say, the girlfriend informed the community members to search for the deceased but yielded no results.

Divers were deployed to find the deceased but all efforts yielded no results until a fetish priest performed rituals today Monday, July 8, 2024, and the body was found in Gomoa Brofoyedu a community near Gomoa Ekwamkrom.

The body has been conveyed by community members to Agona Swedru Hospital Mortuary for preservation while Police have commenced investigations into the incident.
