A twenty-five year old man is reported to have been butchered to death at Krofrom in the Kumasi metropolis in the Ashanti region.
Kwabena Azuri, a father of four, is said alleged to have been stabbed multiple times on his body by knives, cutlass and axe, murdering him instantly.
The sad incident happened around 6:30pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Osofo Abodwese area.
According to reports, the murder was revenge mission embarked by the suspects who were defeated by the deceased in a brawl on January 2022.
The wife of the deceased, Lydia Opoku, speaking to Otec News reporter Nana Akwasi Acheampong said her husband went out with a friend to buy food, only to hear that he was dead.
“Soon after my husband left, I got a surprise message by friends that my husband has been murdered by some people who he had a scuffle with in 2022,” the grieving wife said.
“I am sure that his death was revenge by the suspects he beat them in 2022, that led to one of them losing a finger during the battle,” she cried uncontrollably.
James Adomako, who witnessed the January 25, 2022 fight, told Otec News that the person, who lost a figure in that scuffle, was the one who initiated attack on the deceased yesterday (January 25, 2023), that led to his death.
The body has been since been deposited at the Ebenezer Mortuary Centre for preservation, while police are to start investigation.
