Mahama is ‘mentally unstable’ – NPP Communicator

The Eastern Regional Communication Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, David Prah, has fired a fierce potshot at Former President John Mahama, describing him as “mentally unstable”.

According to him, the recent comment from the Former President leaves him no other option but to think that he [Mahama] is on drugs.

Mahama, addressing NDC party supporters at Bawjiase in Awutu Senya West Constituency in the Central Region on day one of his four-day tour of the region, criticized President Nana Addo for not fulfilling all the promises he made to Ghanaians whiles in opposition.

Mr. Prah, speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ described Mahama as the “shameless President” who ever lived. “Sometimes I think Mahama is on drugs that’s why as a former president he can make such comments. He [Mahama] needs psychiatric or mental attention. He may be frustrated, so he deserve no attention from the NPP.”

His usage of unpalatable words on Ex-President Mahama’s comes on the back of Mahama assertions that Nana Addo had failed Ghanaians for not gratifying what he said as opposition leader. Mahama also said the NDC must be proud of what they did in government for 8 years.

The host of the show Kwame Afrifa-Mensah, efforts to make Mr. Prah apologise to the former president was unsuccessful as Prah said he stood by what had said.

John Mahama, after declaring his interest in leading the NDC in the 2020 elections, has hit the ground running.

He is however expected to fend of competition from other party stalwarts who have all declared their interest in leading the party.

The NDC is expected to go to the polls in December 2018 to elect its flagbearer for the 2020 elections.
