LIVESTREAMING: Parliament vets Deputy Minister of Education-designate

The Appointments Committee of Parliament continues its public hearings for President John Dramani Mahama’s deputy ministerial nominees.

Clement Abass Apaak, the Deputy Minister of Education-designate, is the first nominee to be vetted.

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South has served on several committees, including as a deputy ranking member of the Ghanaian Parliament’s Education Committee. He has also been a member of the Public Accounts Committee.

Dr. Clement Abass Apaak hails from Dorninga in Ghana and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana.

He further obtained a PhD in Archaeology from Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada, an MPhil in Archaeology from the University of Bergen, Norway, and an International Certificate in African Archaeology from the University of Brussels.

He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology and History from the University of Ghana.

A total of 13 nominees will undergo thorough vetting and scrutiny to assess their readiness and capabilities to effectively assume their respective roles.
