Ghana, on the other hand, has had a rough start to the campaign, managing one win and one defeat in two matches.

While the Malian Eagles sit second in Group I with four points from two matches, Ghana is currently fifth.

The Malians come into the game on the back of a strong showing at the 2023 AFCON, where they reached the quarterfinals, while Ghana exited at the group stages.

Mali coach Éric Chelle has led his team to three wins, a draw, and a defeat in their last five matches, while Ghana has yet to record a win since the start of 2024, with three draws and two losses.

In the last 24 meetings, Ghana has won 11, with seven ending in stalemates and six in favour of Mali.
