An aspiring parliamentary candidate hopeful on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Teshie Ledzokuku constituency, Hon. Nii Ashittey Ollennu has expressed his intention to become Member of Parliament for the area to improve the socio – economic lives of the constituents.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the aspiring parliamentary candidate hopeful for Ledzokuku constituency in the ticket of NPP, Hon. Ashittey Ollennu pointed out some reasons why he should be given the opportunity to become the next member of Parliament.
Hon Ollenu poised that one of his major policies that he will bring on board is to nurture the youth for generational leadership, and he explained that there are a lot that can be done to help the youth, if the youth will aspect it than they have to be trained into good leadership.
He observed that leadership skills training, would help them to do something meaningful with their lives, then they will appreciate and do those things well and properly.
“I will like to encourage the youth to venture into entrepreneurship so that they can do something meaningful for themselves and also equipped them through programs which will help them get something to do with their own hands which is hand skills work”he lamented.
Hon. Nii Ashittey Ollennu hinted that he has started a program called Ollennu Petty Traders Program which he do mention that him and his team support the youth and the entire traders with a little amount as 500 Ghana cedis each to help them expand their work, and also a hand skills training work which has impact some of the youth in his area.
He stated that with this little things that he has already started doing for his constituency is going to expand to the higher level if he is given the opportunity to become the member of parliament.
According to him, he is aware of the poor sanitation problems in ledzokuku municipality and how he will find ways and means to collaborate with the office of sanitation and Zoomlion to expand the waste disposer methods.
He was optimistic that if the NPP delegates and the entire good people of Teshie to consider his good thoughts and good policies that he has for the constituency when given him the chance to become the next MP for Ledzokuku and they will never regret.
