Kyidomhene of Mampong-Brofoyedru killed

Unknown assailants have killed the Kyidomhene of Brofoyedru in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti region, Nana Osei Bonsu.

The lifeless body of the chief was found on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, although the motive behind the action remains unclear.

He was found lying prostrate with his face in the blood in front of his vehicle on the Boanim-Morim stretch.

Adusei Poku of KAS FM, Adom News’ affiliate reported that Nana Osei Bonsu left his wife to way to deliver some items which were in his possession to the owner.

The chief was reportedly pulled out of his vehicle, with a temporary number plate, and shot at close range from his occiput, leaving a deep wound.

Apart from his mobile phones which were reportedly destroyed by the assailants, nothing was taken aware from him.

The body has been deposited at the Mampong Government Hospital’s morgue pending investigation to unravel circumstances leading to the gruesome murder.
